Lisa Tate

Lisa originally qualified as a solicitor, but decided not to pursue law as a career, wanting a job that allowed her to interact with people on a more personal level.

She uses a variety of therapies, including deep tissue and remedial massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, Indian head massage, ear candling and Reiki to support people through times of pain or stress and specialises in treating pregnant clients. 

“The thing I love about this job is that I am nurturing people, and making a difference to their lives. Therapeutic touch has such a healing power, not just by relieving aches, pains and physical discomforts, but also giving the person the time and space to just be, which can help stimulate the body’s own healing abilities.”

Lisa’s practical experience has included working at the North Devon Hospice, where her massage therapy has been part of the palliative care programmes. Her treatments have also played a role in detox programmes at Yeotown Radiant Health Retreat near Barnstaple.
